Hoikuen..thats the public day cae for young kids in Japan. It is very cheap to send your small kids to this place provided you go thru the local city council. If both of you are students, it will be much easier. However, entry will be difficult if one of you (hubby/wife)isnt a student. Now, what do your child learns from hoikuen? Many things!!! They learn to put things back to their places, eat & clean up together, learn to sing and dance (mind you, all the teachers responsible for a class are able to play organs/pianos), draw, listen to stories and of course, sleep when it is time to sleep. Any Japanese hoikuen will manage preparation of food (up to calculation of food calories) and be rest assured, your kid will definitely eat good healthy foods. Malaysia can learn from this system too!
